Secure Systems and Technologies Ltd - Investing for the Future

Specialist defence and security IT manufacturer, Secure Systems & Technologies SST Ltd (SST) has announced that on the 3rd September 2012 the company was the first business in the UK to be accredited under the CESG Formal TEMPEST Certification Scheme (CFTCS). The scheme enables accredited TEMPEST Test Facilities to certify TEMPEST products on behalf of CESG, the National TEMPEST Authority in the UK. CFTCS is the UK implementation of the NATO standard SDIP-55.

"We are delighted to have achieved this prestigious accreditation. We have invested some four hundred thousand pounds in preparation for CFTCS, with the installation of state of the art chambers and purchase of new testing equipment. With 3 cells already accredited, a fourth in process and 4 qualified testers, we are well-resourced to focus on reducing the time taken to bring TEMPEST products to market, whilst retaining CESG's assurance of product quality.

Operating from our secure facilities with access to the necessary Good Practice guides we are ready to test and certify both in house products and third party solutions to NATO standards. Now that we are an accredited UK CFTCS Test Facility authorised to issue TEMPEST Certificates, the certification process is faster and more agile allowing us to still maintain and enhance the quality of service required by certain UK Government customers."

Since receiving the CFTCS accreditation SST have begun launching new products under the scheme. In due course product accreditation details will appear on the SST web site again in compliance with CFTCS requirements. These new products will include the SC8300TF and TI TEMPEST Level A and B PCs, the SP850TF and TI TEMPEST Level A and B A3 Mono Printers and the SV200TF TEMPEST level A Thin Client PC.
