Driven by customer demand, we have been expanding our range of SST Power filters. We have a range of solutions addressing practical issues associated with the installation of secure non TEMPEST equipment and NATO SDIP-27 Level B hardware installed in environments lacking a filtered power supply.
SST combines a strong product knowledge with a thorough comprehension of the NATO SDIP-29 standard that defines installation requirements when processing Classified Information, for example in respect to grounding and cable distances.
We provide an overview of product offering below. For a more detailed summary of our capabilities including the provision of training and consultancy do please contact us directly.
The SST power line filters are designed to isolate signals generated within terminal equipment where they are not connected to a filtered mains supply. High attenuation and wide band filtering capabilities significantly reduce the signals conducted on the power line.
SST power line filters are available as 6A, 16A and 30A Variants.
The 6A Filter is a robust slimline filter designed for use on single-phase AC supply and easily installs in place of the standard power lead, simply connecting between the AC supply and equipment without having to ensure earth bonding to a conductive bulkhead or onsite installation of supplementary earthing circuits.
Leads are permanently bonded to the case with a standard IEC 320 C13 for direct connection to equipment or variants can be designed to include equipment AC/DC power supply. The European version includes a plug with side contact and pin earthing/grounding for correct power orientation.
- High performance 6A AC mains power filter
- Direct replacement for standard power lead
- Use SDIP-27 Level B equipment in a unprotected power environment
- Robust slimline design
- Easily installed without bulkhead fixing or secondary Earth circuit
16A & 30A Variants
These filters are designed specifically for use on single-phase mains, and have all the advantages of using current compensating inductors .They provides four European or UK standard power outlets with side contact and pin grounding capabilities for correct orientation of power to TEMPEST equipment.
They feature a dual rated SP&N and 2-phase full frequency spectrum high performance power line EMI suppression filter. The filters are manufactured by integrating high resilience ultra high-speed feed through capacitors and magnetic elements effective under all loading conditions.
The design of the SST power line filters allows use within an electrical distribution system requiring bi-directional attenuation of incident / equipment EMI. Installation of the filter supports equipment compliance with the requirements of system InfoSec and EMC specifications. The enclosures are robust for daily use and designed to be down-line tolerable to a personnel protection RCCD.
- High performance EMI suppression filter
- Robust design
- Full frequency spectrum
- Fanless, silent operation
- Quadruple filtered outputs
Office Install Kit
The Office Install Kit for the SST 16A TEMPEST power line filter ensures correct performance of the filter even when installed in an office environment. Installation of filters normally requires bonding to earthed metal bulkheads/surface which is not always practical.
This installation kit can be retro-fitted to existing filters and enables compliance with the requirements of SDIP-29. The shielded mains supply lead is designed to satisfy required spacing of components in the system and is terminated with Euro, UK or customer’s choice of class 1 power plug.
SST’s In Line Filters have the following Insertion Loss characteristics:
